Welcome to my Blog!

I’m just a girl, who loves life, love, family, friends, my three dogs, laughing (I admit, I listen to Howard Stern for a daily dose of laughter. Don’t hold that against me.) , crying (I like to have the occasional Lifetime movie marathon), 70’s music,  jazz (Louis, Ella, Nina…), spicy foods, rain, scary movies, the ocean, snow, pumpkin scented candles, rescuing people, rescuing animals, giving, helping, philosophy, psychology….. At times I can be too serious, geeky, and sometimes too sensitive (I still cry when I watch Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer! Reindeers can be so mean!), I love change and I love learning…  I could go on and on but I really hate talking about myself and I’d much rather talk about you!  If you want to know something about me, just ask and I’d be glad to answer.  I often use photography to express myself.  I love to combine words and photos and every once in awhile will bust out a poem.  I like photos that tell a story. One of my most favorite photographers is Duane Michals.

I live in Scottsdale, Arizona with my three furbabies, Rickey, Luci and Minnie. I majored in Fine Arts/Photography at ASU many, many years ago (let’s just say..before the invention of the digital camera). I have won awards for my landscape photography, have been a still photographer on movies and commercials and had my pet photos published in books and used by major advertising companies for promotional material.

It was my passion for photography and my love for animals that inspired me to create Modern Pet Furtography. I like to have a relaxed, natural, informal, fun and candid approach to each session. Each session is a unique experience for me as each subject I shoot has their own unique story to tell. My goal is to produce portraits and stories of your furry family member(s) that will capture their spirit and personality and provide years of furry-fun memories.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
